Handsworth Continental Star 1 Kings Heath 3
KINGS Heath manager Sean Lawless described his side's 3-1 win at Handsworth Continental Star as the best performance of the season.
And he wants to get into the top six before Christmas and win the Challenge Vase to keep Heath's stuttering season alive.
Pete Bennet opened the scoring on 20 minutes last night, heading in a Lee Brosnan cross at the far post.
But the hero turned villain 15 minutes later when he conceded a penalty allowing the hosts to equalise.
Hitman Mark Cartwright restored Heath's lead in the 53rd minute, with a left foot drive from the edge of the box.
And Cartwright hit his second, and his twelfth of the season ten minutes from time after rounding the keeper.
