ON October 16, members were given a lecture by Paul and Doreen Holder entitled 'Undersea World - Reefs and Wrecks.'
Paul and Doreen made it plain from the start that they are principally divers who take pictures but even so, the quality of their slides, although stills, was as good as many of the views from The Blue Planet.
The show was divided into three themes. There were pictures of undersea fish, including sharks, rays and turtles. There was then a poignant interlude with views of the sunken wrecks of the Japanese naval vessels from World War II in Truk Lagoon.
The lecture finished on a much lighter note with pictures of very interesting and pretty coral.
