Worcestershire Senior Urn round one
ROVERS eased past Pershore with a good second half display after being lucky to go in on level terms at half time.
The home team, from the Midland Combination Premier Division, had four great opportunities to take a first half lead.
Their best chance fell to Simon Brain on 35 minutes, who had a close range shot well saved by Jimmy McGettrick.
Rovers rarely tested home keeper Neil Turner in a scrappy opening session, the best effort coming from Steve Pope who had a header saved after seven minutes.
Kevin Banner opened the scoring on 54 minutes, hooking the ball home after Pershore had failed to clear Richard Kavanagh's right-wing corner.
Banner turned provider on 66 minutes, allowing Chris Porter to score his first goal for the club from close range.
Banner grabbed his second of the night two minutes from time to round off a fine individual performance.
