RECRUITMENT tests used by the police and fire brigade are being reviewed by the Redditch Pakistan Community Forum.
It wants to try to attract more members from the town's Pakistani community to life as a police officer or firefighter.
Forum members are working closely with both agencies and a number of taster sessions aimed at the Pakistani community are due to be set up.
The forum will also be looking at the employment process and application tests to assess if any changes need to be made to attract members of the Pakistani community.
Talks are also taking place with police and fire chiefs in relation to community diversity issues to improve mutual perception.
Mr Khawaja added the links the forum had formed with the police during the last year had proved extremely helpful in view of the war on terrorism taking place in Afghanistan.
