AN Evesham woman is counting her winnings after scooping a whopping prize on the top ITV game show, Who Wants to be a Millionaire?
Red-haired Nicola Yeoman went home with £8,000 after answering eight out of her possible 15 questions correctly.
She stumbled on the £16,000 question: "What phrase relates to being of the spirit of the time or period?" The answer was zeitgeist, but she chose to take the cash as she had used all three of her lifelines.
"I was terribly nervous while it was being filmed," said the 39-year-old, who lives in the Four Pools area.
Nicola had to ask the audience, including husband Steve, after being stumped on which university Prince William attended. The answer, for £1,000, was St Andrew's.
After storming to £4,000, she was foxed by which character in Greek mythology melted his wax wings when he flew too close to the sun. After using her 50/50 lifeline she correctly guessed Icarus.
Nicola, who has two children - Tom, aged seven, and four-year-old Elizabeth - might spend her winnings on a family holiday to Australia.
