CHILDREN from schools all over the Vale will be making their voices heard at the world's biggest children's concert later this month.
Pupils from Blackminster Middle School, Pershore High School, Flyford Flavell First School, St Mary's RC Primary School in Evesham, Holy Redeemer RC Primary School in Pershore and Bidford-on-Avon CE Primary School will be part of a 5,000 strong choir singing at Young Voices in Concert.
The young Vale voices will be hitting the high notes to raise money for Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital at the concert, which is being held at the Birmingham NIA on November 28.
The singers will be joined by Cleo, from the teen band Cleopatra, The Magnets - a young a capella band and Oliver Darley, a soul singer.
The repertoire will include everything from traditional Christmas and calypso carols, to current chart hits and a Beatles medley.
Jan Kemsley, special projects co-ordinator at Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity, said: "We are delighted that this celebration of the joy of music will help raise money for research at the hospital.
"With the support of so many enthusiastic local school children it cannot be anything but a roaring success."
