HOCKEY: Stourport staged a magnificent comeback at Doncaster in a National League Division One fixture, turning a 2-0 half-time deficit into a 2-2 draw.
Stuart Boddy had put Doncaster ahead from a penalty corner after just six minutes and Jon Redfern added a flick after the break in the 41st minute.
But David Westhead began the comeback by scoring from a penalty corner on 52 minutes and Laith El Khabib hit a penalty stroke in the 66th minute to level the scores.
Matt Simkin also saved a penalty stroke to keep Stourport in the match.
Beeston 2 Stourport 2nds 1
A penalty stroke awarded to Beeston clinched victory against Stourport seconds in a DTZ Premier Midlands League match.
All the goals came in the second half, Tom White having levelled the score for Stourport before the winning penalty stroke.
Stourport 3rds 4 Beeston 2
The thirds were also up against Beeston and fought back from a 2-0 half-time deficit to take their first league win of the season.
Young forwards Ian Lye (two), Chris Perry and Jon Yates were the scorers.
Edgbaston 1 Stourport 4ths 4
The fourths continued their progress with a comfortable win at Edgbaston, maintaining their 100 per cent record.
Adrian Moulam scored two short-corner goals in the first half then Harry Willetts and Ben Madden added further strikes in the second half.
Edgbaston replied with one goal but Stourport's young goalkeeper Rob Farmer played well.

The town side were 4-1 down at half-time and Edgbaston added a fifth near the end of the match.
Adam Taylor was the lone Stourport scorer though newcomer Mike Crawley, formerly with Kidderminster, made a good debut.
Stourport 6ths 4 Kings Heath 3
The sixths also fought back to win 4-3 after being 3-1 down at the break.
Former first teamer Steve Li scored near the end to secure the victory in an exciting encounter.
Frank Colwill scored a brace, one from a short-corner, and the other goal came from Andrew Bickerton.
Youngsters Everett Li, Willetts and Pritchard played well.
Stourport Vets 2 Bournville 1
The veterans had their usual highly competitive battle with Bournville, eventually clinching victory.
The visiting Bournville scored first through Kevin Hillyard following a defensive error.
Andy Martin, making a rare appearance for the side, worked hard but found the goal elusive.
In the final quarter, Stourport were still a goal down and Tom White was shackled by his former club-mates.
But then Paul Taylor moved from defence to attack and began to create opportunities for White with energy and pace down the right.
White duly obliged with a goal from a short-corner and one from open play with a top-corner finish.
