VOLLEYBALL: Cleobury Ladies dropped their second National League Division Two fixture of the season in a 3-0 defeat at Warwickshire Riga.
They had been hoping to build on a good opening victory and the omens looked good early on.
Becki Brookes put Cleobury 19-14 ahead in what looked a comfortable lead.
But for some unknown reason Cleobury self-destructed and from leading 21-15 lost 25-21.
Warwick controlled the tempo of the second set and took it comfortably 25-18 and by now Cleobury were playing with no rhythm or control.
The hosts soon went 14-5 ahead in the third set then captain and player of the day Lyndsey Rankin encouraged her side to show more commitment and pressure.
Ellie Boddey began to control her offence as the team worked their way back to 24-24.
Cleobury had two set points but in the end it was Warwick who held their nerve and took the set 29-7 and the match.
