THUGS stabbed a young Kidderminster shop worker waiting for a bus four times in the thigh in an unprovoked attack on Saturday evening.
The 18-year-old was waiting in Exchange Street between 6.15pm and 6.45pm after finishing work in a town centre shop when he was targeted by four youths who came from Vicar Street shouting and singing.
The assault, possibly with a screwdriver, left the man "dazed and confused", according to police. He was treated at Kidderminster Hospital.
Two of the men kicked out at a bus before wandering off towards Kidderminster Library and getting into a taxi. One shouted "how's your leg?" as the taxi drove off.
DC Paul Bent, of Kidderminster Police, said: "This young man received very painful injuries in a completely unprovoked attack."
The four white men are all thought to be aged between 15 and 18. One was 5ft 7ins wearing a white puffa jacket, black jeans and white trainers, while the second was two inches taller, "chubby", and wearing a dark jacket and jeans.
The other two were both slim - one was 6ft 3ins and the other 5ft 7ins.
Anyone who saw the men should call Kidderminster Police on 01562 820888.
