POLICE have renewed their appeal for witnesses to a vicious burglary at the home of a Broome couple following new information on the raiders' escape.
A blue BMW Coupe, registration Y169 VVP, was seen several times driving erratically on the A456 between Hagley and Quinton after the break-in when a man was hit on the head with the butt of a shotgun before he and his wife were tied up.
Cash, jewellery and a blue BMW Coupe were stolen during the raid at 6.45am on Wednesday, October 17.
The first sighting of the car was at Hagley and shortly afterwards it was seen again at Halesowen, and on the Quinton Expressway.
Police are also investigating a possible connection with the theft of a silver Mercedes 200 CLK, registration X184 UOL, from an address in Moseley.
Det Insp Adrian Todd, of Kidderminster Police, said: "The BMW was clearly driving in a very erratic way and we would like to hear from anyone else who noticed it, particularly if they saw it leave or rejoin the A456 during its journey.
"We are also keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the stolen Mercedes at any time between 4am and 7.30am on Wednesday, October 17 in the vicinity of Broome or between Hagley and Quinton."
Anyone with any information should contact Kidderminster Police on 01562 820888 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
