Littleton 4, Campden Tn Lions 2
TWO unbeaten sides met with Littleton getting a win over battling opponents.
Both teams took time to settle and goalkeepers, Sam Bastow and Chris Godson were both kept bus.
It was the latter who was breached first when Matt Smith's cross eluded everybody to nestle in the top corner. Campden battled back and Joe Ford levelled with a wonderful chip.
Matt Goss then turned the game on its head scoring twice in five minutes with a superb lob and firm shot.
He was denied his hat-trick when Godson produced a fine save while, on the stroke of half-time, his opposite number produced a similar stop to deny Ford.
Both sides produced a string of chances after the break and Ford pulled a goal back. Godson then produce a brave save at the feet of Ryan Clarke before the latter was unlucky to see a shot hit the post.
Godson then produced another fine save to turn a Goss piledriver on to the bar. Ford then hit the bar before Littleton increased their lead through Smith.
Littleton 5, Drakes Broughton 4
AN EXCITING home game in spite of a heavy pitch saw Littleton take a 4-2 interval lead.
Littleton's scorers were Craig Stanley (2), Alex Trinder (2) and Kyle Brotherton, while only excellent goalkeeping from Matt Creswell during the second half kept them on top.
Joe Grisdale, Ross Day,Tom Bird and an unfortunate own goal gave Broughton their replies.
Broadway U-8s 2, Peopleton 2
BROADWAY broke the deadlock with a fine solo effort from Luke McDonagh but the visitors replied just before half-time.
Early in the second half a cross from Harrison Parker saw Charlie Stock slot home and only some fine saves from Rob Oldham kept them in front until two minutes from time.
Drakes Broughton U-11 3,
Littleton Colts 1
MISSED chances cost Littleton in a game they really deserved to win.
Two breakaway goals in the first ten minutes gave Drakes the lead only for Dan Young to pull one back after a period of intense pressure.
The second half continued in the same fashion with the Colts missing lots of good chances only for Drakes Broughton to break away and complete the scoring.
Vale Wdrs 6, Evesham Utd Robins 0
VALE bounced back in style after the previous week's defeat, with a comprehensive victory.
Player of the match, Andrew Cook, started the scoring from the penalty spot after Tom McLaughlin had been fouled.
This was followed by two goals from Arron Hartwell and others from McLau-ghlin, Tom Waghorn and Jack Sweeney.
Evesham Utd U-14 6, Welland 1
UNITED maintained their good form with another comfortable win.
James McRum opened the scoring midway through the first half and it was 2-0 when Sean Fensome also found the net. Welland battled back to reduce the arrears before Gareth Wolford made it 3-1.
The hosts went on to dominate the second period with Wolford completing his hat-trick and Dwain Dewett also hitting the target.
Littleton A U-8 6, Drakes Brough 3
THE scoring touch, which had been missing in recent games, returned as Littleton registered their highest goal tally of the season as they won a highly competitive and entertaining match.
Littleton went ahead after ten minutes when a powerful shot from Alex Drew beat the diving keeper. Continued pressure saw them move further ahead when goals from Wesley Burden and William Stevens gave them to a 3-0 lead.
Far from being disheartened, Drakes continued to play some good football, which saw Littleton concede an own goal.
This break seemed to spur Drakes on and they pulled another goal back through Owen Johnson.
The thought of losing a three-goal lead then acted as the motivation they needed as Littleton, playing with greater drive and determination, extended their lead with strikes from Jordan Cowley and a second from Wesley Burden.
Broughton continued to pressure the Littleton goal and were rewarded with a second goal from Johnson.
Littleton's supremacy was further strengthened when a goal from Mark Loveday completed a 6-3 win.
Churchdown 2, Badsey Rgrs U-14 3
DAN Willmot netted twice in the opening 15 minutes to give the visitors the upper hand.
However, after some end-to-end football, Churchdown cut the deficit two minutes before the break.
The Panthers came out claws clenched after the restart and a spell of sustained pressure brought an equaliser.
Badsey never gave in and it was Willmot who capped a fine individual display to complete his hat-trick.
Bredon Colt Cobras 2,
Evesham Utd Robins 3
COBRAS were keen to avenge an earlier defeat but their chances diminished early on when Evesham took the lead.
However, they hit back and levelled when Robbie Keating's drive proved too hot to handle.
An interval reshuffle didn't help matters and the Robins regained the lead after Jack Newman's mistake.
Again, Bredon roared back and laid siege to the Evesham goal and equalised with three minutes remaining when Newman set up Ryan Harper.
A draw would have sent both sides home happy but Evesham grabbed a late winner.
Dunnington 1, Evesham Utd U-9 20
UNITED have now scored an amazing 114 goals in eight matches on a day when another defence found it difficult to cope with their attacking power.
Leading the way in the scoring charts was Jake Hall, who bagged eight goals, while Olly Scarrott (4) and Olly Davis (3) also proved deadly in front of goal.
The other goals came courtesy of James Bearcroft, Cieran Gilbert, Dave Thom-pson, Lou Brown and James Schembri.
The hosts went on to dominate the second period with Wolford completing his hat-trick and Dwain Dewett on target.
Evesham Utd U-11 1, Eynsham 0
EVESHAM consolidated second spot in the Witney League after a scrappy match.
A piece of opportunism won the points ten minutes into the game when Jordan Shelton spotted the Eynsham keeper off his line and placed his shot neatly between the goalkeeper and a post.
The second half continued with Eve-sham on top, but wasting many chances to counter attack, although Daniel Trotman and Robert Andrew both went close.
The visitors had the ball in the net but the referee ruled it offside and three points went to United.
