CAMPDEN Town came a cropper for the second successive weekend as Badsey United stormed to the top of the Stratford Alliance Jour-nal Premier Division.

Martin Schembri and Mark Houghton both scored twice in the 6-2 win as the visitors lost for the third time in seven days.

Town's Hospital Cup conquerors, Shipston, made it two wins in three days with a 4-1 defeat of Bidford. Steve Righ-ton bagged a brace.

Rich Foreman went one better with a hat-trick as FISSC recorded a second straight win leaving Henley Forest to contemplate getting their defence in order after a 5-3 reverse.

Badsey stand three points clear of Bretforton OB at the summit after overcoming neighbours, Rangers, by the odd goal of five.

There were goals galore in the Alun Rees Trophy with leaders Needlemakers Lions leading the way with eight at home to Alcester 2000. Luke Poole lead the way with a treble haul.

The net bulged the same number of times when Alcester Lions entertained Ilmington Revolution, who earned a rep-lay after Jono Wright's double helped tame the Cutler Divi-sion Two table toppers.

There were comfortable passages for Long Compton, Quin-ton and Spartak Park with Jon Burton, Chris Valentino and Wayne Coleman all scoring twice for the respective winning sides.
