TOWN leaders have opposed a bid to add a conservatory to a home on a Bewdley housing development in protest at the number of trees being cut down.
David Wilson Homes applied to amend plans for the 74-house Warstone House site off Habberley Road.
But Bewdley Town Council's planning committee voted on Monday to recommend the plan be refused, fearing restrictions on the number of trees that could be cut down - imposed as part of the original planning permission - are not being met.
The bid will be considered by Wyre Forest District Council planners when they meet later this year.
