SMOKE damage was caused to the first floor of a house in Warstone Close, Bewdley, when fire broke out in an airing cupboard.
Firefighters were called to the house at 7.30pm on Saturday when the owners returned home to find their smoke alarm going off.
Bewdley Fire Station sub officer Paul Gittins said the fire had started in an electrical switch.
