FORENSIC tests are still being carried out to try to identify a man who tried to rob a post office with an imitation gun.
The would-be robber fled the post office in Wells Road, Malvern, after he was told to "stop being silly" by the postmistress behind the counter.
He left empty-handed and made off in the general direction of Ledbury.
"Forensic tests and police investigations are continuing but I would appeal to anyone with information about the identity of this man to contact the police on 01905 723888 quoting 'collar' 527014," said Det Con Jon Lawrence.
Anyone who wants to give anonymous information about the attempted robbery, which happened at 3.15pm last Wednesday, can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
