AN early 19th Century coachhouse on School Lane, in Upton, is to be renovated, if planning permission is granted.
Peter and Peggy Booth have asked Malvern Hills District Council for permission to upgrade the building, which currently has no roof, in order to move into it.
"Hopefully, it will improve the local amenity, as we want to restore it along its original lines," said Mr Booth.
"We have fallen in love with Upton and it's just between where our children live, in Birmingham and Stroud."
If the process goes smoothly the couple, who currently live in Burton-on-Trent, will move in next autumn.
