MALVERN Football Club has again delayed an announcement over the sale of its ground.
Club spokesman Richard Anson said they were in the final stages of closing a deal to sell the Langland Stadium to a developer with the intention of securing land for a new football ground elsewhere in the town.
"It's been a complicated process because as far as the developer is concerned this is not a straight forward contract," he said.
"They would normally agree terms and apply for planning permission, in this case everything happening is depending on joint planning permission being achieved. The developer can only have access to our existing site at the same time as we are applying for planning permission for a new football ground. Within the contract we will be looking to ensure the long-term future for the football ground."
It is hoped the deal will be closed this week and the details announced soon after.
