CARETAKER boss Phil Robinson is refusing to set any targets for his Hereford United side ahead of their Nationwide Conference clash at Woking tomorrow (3pm).
The Bulls are lying in mid-table but are just six points behind fourth placed Nuneaton Borough and if results fall their way they could move into the top six.
But Robinson is keen for his side to concentrate on improving their performances in the knowledge that results will follow.
"The lads are still on a high from the FA Cup win but it's back down to earth on Saturday and the next two league games are very important to us and I hope we can continue to produce the same performances as we have recently," he said.
"A couple of wins might see us into the top half of the table but I haven't set any targets.
"From when I took over it was just a case of trying to improve the way we were playing both individually and collectively.
"But if we keep performing to the best of our abilities each game then eventually you might find yourself in the top half of the table."
Big spending Woking, who have welcomed back non-league legend, Geoff Chapple, are languishing sixth from bottom but Robinson anticipates a similar battle to Chester
City who toppled Hereford when they were bottom of the Conference.
"They've been one of the season's big spenders attracting the better players like Pat Moore from Rushden and I think they are probably in a false league position.
"It might be a similar case to Chester who had a new manager and played out of their skins and I'm sure Geoff Chapple arriving will give them a boost but if perform as we have been then we are in with a chance."
Gavin Williams, who struck the winner against Dover in the FA Cup, is Robinson's only injury doubt with Daniel Davidson and John Shirley both fit.
Shirley came on as a substitute for the last 10 minutes of the Dover game for his first appearance of the season.
"He did very well and will be in contention for a place," said Robinson.
