MALVERN Town played out a home scoreless draw against Lye Town, in the Express And Star Premier Division on Tuesday night.
MALVERN TOWN 0, LYE TOWN 0
In a game not helped by a strong wind, a draw was probably a fair result, but both sides had chances to break the deadlock.
Town came closest on two occasions, first when a 22nd minute Chris Thomas lob came back off the crossbar, and in the final minute when Phil Slade set up Lee Hooper at the far post, but with the goal at his mercy, the young striker failed to make contact.
In between times the Malvern defence were strong throughout, but keeper Dave Alden twice denied the dangerous Ade Evason with excellent saves.
