DO the children of today have too much freedom in the way of self-expression?
I dare to ask this highly controversial question because as each day passes, I see more and more youngsters showing less and less respect for their parents and elders.
The evidence can be seen not only in schools but in homes, on the streets, public transport, in fact anywhere you care to mention.
I do not hold the view that we should return to the old Victorian ways as this would be taking a step backwards.
Call me old-fashioned but respect and knowing right from wrong should be taught at home and then put into practice at school and then society in general.
Maybe parents should take a good look at themselves and realise that their children are not always the innocent little angels they like to think they are.
