EXPRESS travelled to Worcester for this Sunday Division Two fixture and forgot the shooting boots which have been scoring at will of late.

OAK APPLE 4, EXPRESS '88 1

Despite dominating possession for the opening period play broke down every time Express needed to convert that pressure into goals. Oak Apple's only real venture into Express territory saw a long ball latched onto well and put neatly into the net to give the home side the lead at the interval.

From the restart things got worse for the Express, conceding early possession to go two down almost from the kick off. The hard work of Stacey Cole, Andy Bottomley and Rich Clack was not echoed throughout the team and Phil Leah hitting both posts with long range efforts summed up that it was not going to be Express' day.

Second half sub Mark Taylor scored a consolation goal for Express with a fine 18 yard effort, but only after Apple had scored twice more to take a four goal lead and kept Express goalkeeper, man of the match Phil Smalley far the busier of the two keepers.

This Sunday Express are away to The Freemasons of Broms-grove, in the Nursing Minor Cup, players meet 9am sharp at The Express.
