UPTON Ladies were back to full strength for the resumption of league fixtures against Stourport on Saturday.
UPTON LADIES 7, STOURPORT III 0
Laura Smith opened the scoring with a well struck goal and Sally Loynes soon made it 2-0 to Upton.
The forwards continued to work well together as did the midfield with Rachel Barber supplying some good crosses. Bev Ingram, as ever, contested every ball and was rewarded with Upton's third goal. Vanessa Dawe picked up a cross from Sally Loynes to make it 4-0 to Upton at half time.
Stourport started the second half more positively, giving the Upton defence of Trudy Warner, Sarah Fletcher and Jacky Farley some work to do but keeper Jenny Parkes never had to make a save.
Sally Loynes scored her second by way of a diving shot passed the Stourport keeper.
Anetta Sherwood, with excellent positioning scored her first goal for Upton soon after and Vikki Atkinson scored Upton's final goal to make it 7-0.
With her tireless running the gazelle-like Laura Smith was deservedly awarded the player of the match.
