CONTROVERSIAL referee Andy Williams, who incensed Worcester City with his display in the FA Umbro Trophy first round clash with Mangotsfield United, is set to take charge of tonight's replay at Cossham Street (7.45).

The Hereford official was booed off the pitch after awarding a hotly disputed penalty in Saturday's 1-1 draw at St George's Lane and a window of his dressing room was smashed.

But midfielder Darren Bullock insists City will not be dwelling on the official's performance but concentrating on their own, as they look to earn a home tie with Dorchester Town on December 1.

"I think the referee spoiled the game but we were very poor in the first half and I don't think we could have played any worse," he said.

"We got a rollicking from John Barton at half time but in the second half there was a 100 per cent improvement.

"In the end we were disappointed we didn't win it but at the end of the day we have another crack at it and we can show what we are capable of."

Bullock admits City were surprised by Mangotsfield. "They played some good stuff and we probably underestimated them a little but now we can put the record straight," he added.

Bullock, who has put in extra training sessions to get himself fit, enjoyed his best game for City to date on Saturday. "I felt a lot fitter and stronger and I still need a few more games but I enjoyed myself out there," he said.

Mark Shepherd is set to start up front beside Phil Stant after a lively performance following the replacement of the injured Darren Middleton.

In-form Middleton, who was carried off with a knee injury, is to see a specialist to determine the extent of the damage.

"It has improved a lot since Saturday but I'm hoping it isn't anything worse than severe bruising because we've got some big games coming up and I've really been enjoying my football," said Middleton.
