ARE they in or out of political tune?
Our MP Mike Foster, when receiving a petition from the people against the proposed mini-mart on London Road, is reported as saying that councillors should stand firm and reflect the views of their local community.
These sentiments were contradicted by New Labour councillors at the full council meeting on October 15. For when Conservative Councillor Simon Geraghty, referring to the issue of Sainsbury's application for a supermarket in St John's, dared to suggest considering the people, there was a chorus from the New Labour group that would have credited the Cathedral Choir of "oh no you don't".
So who is singing from the wrong song sheet?
BRIAN HUNT,
Worcester.
