DROITWICH Spa Athletic U10s 0 Bewdley Colts U10s 2. Spa crashed out of the cup to a well organised Colts team. It was a close game won with two long range shots which caught out the Spa keeper. Athletic had shots cleared off the line and hit the post. Well done to the team for not giving up, and with a bit more luck they could have won. Mitchell Wilson was MoM.

Rubery Juniors U7s 3 Redditch United U7s 3. Rubery stood up to some fierce tackling against a Redditch side who battled back from 1-3 down to grab their first point of the season. MoM: Shannon Green and James McConnell.

Rubery Juniors U8s 2 Sporting FC U8s 0. Dominic Strevens in the Rubery goal was outstanding, saving a penalty and pulling off a string of fine saves. Sam Pillinger scored the goal of the season when he went round three defenders before coolly slotting the ball in the bottom corner. Nathan Williams was outstanding in the Rubery defence. Rubery Juniors U14s 1 AC Northfield U14s 1. Rubery dominated this game from the start and should have run out comfortable winners but were denied when AC grabbed a last minute equaliser for a point they scarcely deserved. MoM Michael Tibbatt.

Rubery Juniors U16s 3 Boldmere SS Falcons U16s 1. Rubery played their best football of the season to beat league leaders Boldmere. With only two recognised defenders in the team, who both received the MoM accolade, Rubery attacked from the start. David MacGillivray was rewarded before the game for his 200th game for the club in a team who have played 205 games. He has only ever missed five games.

Dolphin Reds U7s 0 Lickey End FC U7s 2. Eventually the deadlock was broken when a Dolphin's defender could only turn the ball into his own net. MoM Joe Kirby made probing runs from deep and came close to getting his name on the score sheet. Max Loveridge scored the second with a shot from the edge of the area and a shot from Jamie Lucas from a similar distance hit the post. Overall a deserved victory.

Newtown Sports Colts U10s 1 Droitwich Spa Cobras U10s 4. Another first half hat-trick by Alex Clarke and a further goal early in the second half gave Cobras a comfortable lead. A fine free-kick brought Newtown's only response. A great performance by all the Cobra players with special mention to MoM Grant Evans and George Ellson whose work rate and skills were exceptional.

Hanbury U9s 3 Hollywell Harriers U9s 0. An excellent team performance from the whole team, with goalkeeper Blane Stevenson dominating his box. MoM Sam Connellan and Lewis Gregory worked hard in defence, Alex Wilkes, Nathan Day, Ashley Pool and Haydn Williams worked well in midfield. Glenn Turner, Ricky Gallager and John Eustace tormented Hollywell's defence. Goals scored two by Day and Turner.

Hunt End U14s 1 Hanbury U14s 4. It was the home side who scored first after two minutes, only for Aaran Sanders to hit back after five minutes. Hanbury dominated from the restart with two more goals from Aaron Sanders and a late goal from Ryan Giles. Ed Frost was outstanding at the back and Ryan Giles was a terrier in midfield and they shared the MoM.

Callowbrook Swifts U11s 0 Shirley Town U11s 3. Swifts put up a valiant display against first division Shirley Town in this league cup game. Swifts pressurised but did not get the goals their performance deserved. MoM was Danny Bridley for a superb game in defence.

Callowbrook Swifts U7s 9 Solihull Juniors U7s 0. An encouraging performance by Swifts with lots of goal mouth action. The first half saw goals from Kieran Butler, Matthew White and Matthew Jones with a great free kick from outside the box. The second half saw Callum McCall score a hat-trick after keeping goal in the first half. MoM Matthew White bagged a second half hat-trick to take his total to four.

Coleshill Town U11s 4 Catshill Warriors U11s 5. Catshill went behind early on, but soon got back on level terms through a Nat Cherrington left foot effort. Nick Ingram put Catshill in the lead with a right foot drive and increased the lead soon afterwards by chipping the keeper. Coleshill scored twice to make the half-time score 3-3. Ingram completed his hat-trick with a left foot shot from a tight angle. Coleshill equalised again, but the winner came from Daniel Evans, running on to a through ball before lobbing the keeper. As always, Miles Dolphin and Steve Payne held the defence firm. MoM was Ben Judd.

Callowbrook Swifts U8s 2 Catshill U8s 2. Stuart Green and Rory Caines scored for Swifts as Catshill equalised in the last minute.

Callowbrook Swifts U10s A 4 Alcester Athletic U10s 3. The visitors took the lead with a scrappy goal. MoM Matty Reeves tucked away Mikey Chambers cross to draw level and midfield dynamo Lee Williamson put Swifts ahead at the break. Soon after the re-start, Chambers finished a one-on-one before a miraculous goal by keeper Lewis Gwilliams evoked memories of Pat Jennings in 1967. Athletic made a late comeback but the home side hung on for a deserved win.

Bradley Rangers U10s 6 Callowbrook Swifts U10s B 1. Swifts didn't do justice to their great performance last week but Tom Savage, MoM Wayne Clarke and goal scorer Nigel McConkey put in good displays.

West Hagley Colts U13s 1 Callowbrook Swifts U13s 3. Swifts top their division after toppling Hagley's unbeaten home run thanks to goals from Adam Neason, Andy Gibson and Joshua Taylor-Gates.

Maypole Juniors U9s 3 Callowbrook Swifts U9s 5. A superb team performance gave Swifts another convincing win. Outstanding performances from MoM Jay Hurley with two great goals to seal his brace. The impressive Matthew Wood also scored a brace with two well taken goals. Leon Curtis smashed in a great volley, midfield general Lewis Corbett was back to form with a solid performance, while Joseph Esposito impressed with some great saves and some first class kicks.

Bromsgrove Town A U10s 4 AC Northfield U10s 2. Bromsgrove scored an early goal from Alex Gomley. AC Northfield followed with an equaliser. Towards the end of the first half Bromsgrove scored again. In the second half AC equalised, but Bromsgrove began to dominate and scored two more goals through Alex Gomley and Ray Hemmings.

Ulverley Hawks U9s 3 Bromsgrove Town Boys U9s 1. The home side went ahead from a defensive mix up. It was wave after wave of attack by Bromsgrove, but they could not take their chances until James Ward blasted home from two yards when the home defence failed to clear. The second period was more open and both sides squandered opportunities, although solid defensive work by James Brighton and James Ward kept UH out. Town were undone when they were caught on the counter attack and Hawks scored two with minutes to spare.

Knowle U13s 5 Hanbury U13s 1. Hanbury surprised Premier League Knowle in this Open Cup round two clash with an early goal from Manvir Gill. They dominated for long periods, but for a disastrous ten minute spell where they conceded four goals, the outcome may have been different. MoM Gareth Padmore was pushed hard for the honours by Alex Richardson, John Hunt, Tom Stockwell, Jordan Drysdale, Karl Hughes and a fine debut from Jem Hylton.

Leamington Lions 5 Bromsgrove Town Belles 0. Belles were again hampered by a depleted side. They were two goals down after eight minutes and fell further behind to end the first half 5-0 down. Playing for pride in the second half, the girls fought magnificently to prevent Leamington adding to their first half tally. A strong penalty appeal by the Belles meant they failed to score for the first time this season.

Callowbrook Swifts U15s 5 Hanbury U15s 6. It's three wins out of three as Hanbury held on to a half time lead to maintain their 100 per cent record, despite 16 minutes of extra time being played. Goals for Dean Palmer (four), Alex Glover and a Beckham-like free kick from Keelan McNally were enough in a physical second half. The whole team were awarded MoM for an outstanding performance.

Hanbury U11s 6 Beau Terriers U11s 2. Within ten minutes Hanbury were 4-1 up with goals from MoM Josh Mitchell (two), Brad Wright and Duncan Lewis. The second half was always going to be comfortable with Hanbury well on top, increasing their lead with a second goal from Brad Wright followed by an own goal. Terriers managed a second goal but the game was already won.

Catshill U9s 1 TR2000 U9s 4. Catshill were on the end of another defeat to bottom-placed TR2000. Catshill trailed but a good goal from James Lund equalised. Catshill were nowhere near the side that finished the first half, and were punished for sloppy play as TR2000 scored three more. MoM was Craig Goldsby.

Sutton Town U12s 4 Hanbury U12s 0. Full credit to Hanbury in this cup tie. The scoreline flatters Hanbury, who battled well and never dropped their heads. Matthew Cartmel has another outstanding game in the Hanbury defence, as did Ben Broadist when he came on at half time. Matthew Hunt and Jay Dauncey both had good games in midfield for Hanbury. MoM was Michael Harris with a superb performance.

Bromsgrove Corinthians U12s 5 Catshill Juniors U12s 0. The Corries scored four first half goals provided by Andy Court. Catshill continued to play well but Court scored again, bringing his tally to five goals. A special mention to defender Ben Doggett for a faultless performance and Tom Byrne, who made his debut.

Bromsgrove Town U7s 1 Olton Ravens U7s 2. Town MoM was William Baker for some great runs from defence and super heading. Hopefully there'll be better news next week.

Hanbury U10s 8 Holy Name Colts U10s 0. James Chaffe led Hanbury to a marvellous victory. Following a number of excellent moves, eight goals were scored by Lewis Smith (three), Tom Keogh (two), George Hollis, Joe Kings and Tom Jones.The team were named MoM and Joe Kings was manager's choice.

Bromsgrove Athletic U13s 1 Shire Oak Saints U13s 0. This South Staffs Cup round two clash saw Athletic beat a Division One club from the Walsall League. The stalemate was broken in the 25th minute when Donato Casamassa slotted through a delightful ball for Athletic's top scorer James Sheehy to fire home. Daniel Jones, Sheehy, Simon Westwick and MoM Shane Smith put in outstanding performances.

Bromsgrove Town U12s 5 Bartley Green Blades U12s 3. Town delivered an excellent performance in this league fixture, playing controlled passing football on a heavy pitch. They were 4-1 up by the break. In the second half Blades provided stiffer opposition although Town dominated possession and chances. Goalscorers for Town were Leigh O'Connell, Tobi Joshua and James Bastin, who completed his hat-trick. Tom Evans was MoM following a composed midfield performance.
