CHAWSON completed their first league double of the season but were fortunate to take all the points.
Alvechurch started well and deservedly took the lead after 15 minutes through Steve Clayton.
Darts kept pushing for another goal but could find no way past a well organised Old Boys defence, with Neil Hall and Gary Dolphin outstanding.
Manager Mark Seager rallied his troops at half time and the Old Boys looked a much better outfit in the second half.
Chawson kept feeding the ball to full back Philip Wood, whose superb crosses from the left were causing panic in the visitors' box.
It was from one of Wood's pin-point crosses which brought the home side level when Stuart Perry finished off a super move.
Ten minutes later Old Boys went in front when Stuart Perry headed home another accurate cross from Wood. Alvechurch pushed for the equaliser but Old Boys keeper Dean Pinner was in fine form.
In the last five minutes Perry almost scored again, crashing his shot against the post from 25-yards. Man of the match was Mark Bowen.
