A BRAINY duo from Bromsgrove District Council achieved nationwide acclaim for their exam marks.
Revenue officers Emma Mullen and David Riley have received their certificates and prizes for passing the Institute of Revenues, Rating and Valuation Technology exams with some of the best marks in the country.
Emma, who joined Bromsgrove District Council in April 1998, deals with housing and council tax benefit and was awarded best paper in the introduction to housing and council tax benefit law category.
David, who is based in council tax, took an introduction to council tax law, introduction to non-domestic rating law and revenues administration and earned best overall technician's prize.
Council leader Cllr Nick Psirides (Con, Norton) said: "I'm proud to have such able employees working for the council and serving the residents of the district so well."
