BUSINESSMEN and women will have the opportunity to hear about the work of the region's MEPs at a meeting organised by a local forum.

The West Worcestershire Conservative Business Forum (CBF) will host Philip Bushill-Matthews, MEP at a breakfast meeting, on Monday, November 26.

Before entering politics, Mr Bushill-Matthews was a director of large food manufacturing businesses in Britain and Europe for 20 years.

He is the Conservative employment spokesman in the European Parliament and will speak on the topic of Do MEPs Mean Business?

The spokeswoman for the West Worcestershire CBF, Florence Wise, said that the forum's business breakfasts were becoming increasingly popular.

"I am extremely pleased that the quality of these business breakfasts has been recognised and that is down to our excellent speakers and the attractive venue," she said.

She paid tribute to the support shown by West-Worcestershire MP, Sir Michael Spicer, for the meetings, which take place at Birtsmorton Court, Birtsmorton, near Malvern.
