PAM Hillman was thrilled to bits when her luck came in with the Evening News bingo competition - and says the £500 she won will soon disappear when she splashes out on her family.
Mrs Hillman, of Malvern, scooped the cash after scoring a full house on number 93 last Saturday.
The timing, she says, couldn't be better with Christmas just around the corner, and she will be treating her son, two daughters and seven grandchildren to a slap-up meal and indulgent gifts.
"It was a lovely surprise, I just couldn't believe my luck," she said.
"I can't go out to the bingo because of my arthritis, but I do like to play it in the paper.
"I just thought it would be something nice for me to do in the evenings, to check my numbers. I never dreamed I'd win - I've never won anything before like this in my life!
"I've got five granddaughters by one daughter, and my other daughter has two boys, so between them the money's sure to go quickly. It'll be 'Nan, come and have a look at this'!"
Mrs Hillman, who works part-time as a domestic help, admits to having her eye on a nice new frock.
"The other nice thing is that I can buy myself some good shoes. With my arthritis I have to buy expensive ones so the money will come in very handy," she said.
Now Mrs Hillman is thinking about entering the Evening News competition to win an £8,000 car.
"My son-in-law told me I should enter just in case I'm on a lucky streak, so I'm thinking about it!"
The new competition to win a Rover 25 1.1 16v is open to all readers and will run until Saturday, December 1.
