CRAIG Chalmers will miss Sunday's showdown with Bracknell after his injury jinx struck again.
The former Scotland fly-half has been ruled out of Worcester Rugby Club's National One clash at Sixways with another hamstring problem.
The 33-year-old lasted just 10 minutes in Worcester's Senior Cup tie at Moseley on Saturday before feeling the injury which has dogged him this season.
It is the same problem which has limited his appearances to three full matches this campaign and precisely the reason why coach John Brain brought in Steven Vile.
Vile stands by for his first start of the season after enjoying an impressing 70 minutes at Bournbrook while Tony Yapp is also in contention for the number 10 shirt after playing for the under 21s last night.
"It's obviously very disappointing for Craig and the club," said Brain.
"However, this is the reason why we brought in Steven Vile. Tony Yapp has also done very well for us this season so they are both in my thinking for Sunday."
Winger Chris Garrard has recovered from a calf injury and takes his place in the side but there is still no place for skipper Kingsley Jones who has a hamstring tear.
Long term injury concerns Elton Moncrieff and Alistair Murdoch are back in training but are not considered while Scott Barrow is again left out of the 22. Sateki Tuipulotu continues his involvement with the Tongan touring squad.
Brain, though, is facing a few selection dilemmas after seeing players such as Christian Evans, George Davis, Chris Hall and Dave Sims impress at Moseley.
Squad: Hinshelwood; Garrard, Roke, Yates, Stanley, Vile, Smith; Davis, Hall, Moreno, Zaltzman, Morgan, Clarke, Carter, Jenner; Yapp, Pellow, Windo, Ross, Sims, Lyman, Evans.
n The Worcester Under 21s, containing a number of over-age players, beat Gloucester 14-7 last night at Sixways.
Players such as Barrow, Yapp and Dave Fryday were on show as Jon Higgins and Ollie Smith bagged tries. Higgins and Yapp kicked the conversions.
