BY taking six points from their two wins in last weekend's double header, Worcester Norton Ladies jumped five points clear at the top of the Midland Premier Hockey League.
They were assisted by the failure of their two main rivals to score maximum points in their matches leaving Worcester on 18, Birmingham University on 13 and Kettering with 12.
On Saturday Worcester are away to North Staffs who are in ninth spot.
Squad: Fiona Nash, Tina Evans, Jane Game, Becky Handy, Amanda Smith, Kate Fletcher, Elaine Shepperd, Sadie Lapper, Becky Adams, Jo Walker, Kate Draper, Pam Gilmore, Cathryn Fuge.
Worcester seconds team will be looking to put pressure on the leaders of Worcestershire Division One as they look to record their fourth win in succession when they visit Kings Heath.
Worcester thirds, bolstered by recording their first league win, hope to increase their points total when they play Stourport at University College (3.30 pm).
