THREE teams boast unbeaten records in the Stratford Alliance but only two of them top their respective sections.

Needlemakers and Alcester Lions are the top dogs in Herald Division One and Cutler Division Two respectively, but Bretforton Old Boys make way for Badsey United in the Journal Premier Divi-sion.

The latter have completed more than half their top flight fixture list and goals from Martin Schembri, Chris Parn and Paul Smith brought a fifth win in eight games at fallen champions Shipston.

Daryl Mitchell scored twice for Bretforton in a 4-0 defeat of Henley Forest, but it was Nick Burrows who took the scoring honours with a four-goal haul at FISSC to leave Badsey Rangers in third.

Campden Town's slide continued with a 1-1 draw at Bidford, where the hosts' Adam Dean and Kevin Reason netted.

Steve Haughton hit a hat-trick as Needle-makers romped to an 8-0 win over FISSC Reserves and there was also a treble haul for Redditch Boro's Steve Evans in his side's 5-2 defeat of Tysoe.

Long Compton were unable to improve their lowly status when Stratford Spartak were unable to raise a side.

Keith Beasley, Neil Randle and Joe McK-eon were on target for Alcester Lions against Shipston as the winners clung to a one-point advantage at the top.

Closest rivals, Badsey United, had Paul Pinkney and Dean Williams to thank for a 2-0 win over Alcester 2000, while two goals from Stuart Eades helped Ilmington remain in third after victory at Henley.

Ally Rogers also scored twice as Campden Town inflicted more misery on Quinton after a 4-1 home win.
