JAN Molby's plans to run the rule over Swansea City midfielder Michael Keegan have been put on ice.
The Kidderminster Harriers' manager had hoped to parade the former England Under 18 international squad player in last night's Avon Insurance League Division Two clash against Chesterfield at Aggborough, which ended in a 4-2 Harriers' win.
The necessary paperwork between the England and Welsh FAs, however, was not processed in time for him to be allowed to play.
Former Hereford United chief Colin Addison, now in charge of Swansea, has given 20-year-old Keegan permission to train with Harriers this week.
Keegan was brought to the Swans by former Vetch Field boss Molby, but has made only 18 appearances for the club since his first outing in October 1999.
Harriers assistant manager Gary Barnett said: "Michael is the type of player we are looking for. He has got plenty of quality on the ball and a bit of pace about him."
