ARMED services veterans from Wyre Forest will be among representatives of the Parachute Regiment and the Airborne Division leading London's Remembrance Day parade past the Cenotaph on Sunday.
Six members of Kidderminster's Royal British Legion are due to take part. They include Larry Billingsley, 74, of Badland Avenue, Kidderminster, who was with the 6th Airborne Division and is president of Kidderminster RBL. Larry Billingsley, Charlie Philpotts, Raymond Corneby, George Taylor, Dave Sands and Les Reeve.
Other participants from Kidderminster are Les Reeves, 75, of Shakespeare Drive, who served with the 6th Battalion of the Parachute Regiment and Ray Corneby, 80, who saw action with the South Staffordshire Regiment and was among the glider troops who went into Arnhem.
Dave Sands, 55, of Hales Park, Bewdley, who was with the Red Devils, and George Taylor, 78, of Bowpatch Road, Areley Kings, who was wounded crossing the Rhine, blowing up bridges as a Royal Engineer, will also attend the London parade.
Also there will be Charlie Philpotts, 76, of Worcester Street, Stourport. He served with the 7th Battalion of the 6th Airborne Division.
They will be accompanied by George Jones, 76, of Dudley, who was with the Royal Artillery.
"It's a huge privilege to be able to be involved in this because we won't be doing it again," said Mr Billingsley.
