FURTHER funds are in the can for world-famous Bletchley Park, thanks to a Cleobury Mortimer historian.
Dr Mark Baldwin, an authority on Britain's famous wartime code-breaking centre, has collected a host of aluminium cans and foil for Bletchley. Dr Mark Baldwin with the cans collected for the code-breaking centre.
The author of a book on the centre currently celebrated in box-office hit Enigma starring Kate Winslet, was delighted at the response from village folk.
The second-hand bookseller and parish historian set up the aluminium collection because there was no recycling facility in the area.
He said: "The collection could have been for any charity but the upkeep of Bletchley naturally seemed a worthy cause to me.
"I have put the bags out on show so Cleobury people can see the results of their wonderful efforts for Bletchley Park."
