At the annual meeting, which was under the guidance of Marjorie Whiting, Edna Mills was re-elected president.
Forest hosted the group meeting at the village hall when 100 members, representing 10 WIs, heard Cheltenham auctioneer Simon Chorley talk of his long association with collector and eccentric Ronald Ernest Summerfield, and the "biggest sale ever" which took place after his death.
The evening ended with a competition won by Pound Green and Button Oak, and a quiz in which Areley Kings were victorious.
On November 20, Jane Morris will demonstrate cookery ideas for Christmas, starting at 7.45pm.
