ALVECHURCH Parish Council is welcoming comments from angry parents who could be denied the chance of sending their children to school in the parish.
Parish councillors are also calling for a meeting with county council Conservative leader, Dr George Lord, and Bromsgrove MP Julie Kirkbride to discuss how the school catchment area could be changed.
Areas including Rowney Green and Bordesley now fall into Redditch schools' catchment area, prompting parents' complaints that their children should be educated within the parish.
Youngsters will now be expected to attend Beoley First and Church Hill Middle schools and Arrow Vale Community High School.
Before, they went to Crown Meadow First, Alvechurch Middle and North or South Bromsgrove high schools.
Alvechurch Parish Council clerk Gill Lungley said: "The parish council feels there is an unfair situation where people who live in the parish are denied the chance of sending their children to school there.
"Especially when people who live outside the parish, such as Burcot and Barnt Green, can."
Mrs Lungley added: "It also seems strange children from the parish whose parents pay council tax to Bromsgrove Council and perhaps therefore have some sort of allegiance to Bromsgrove are now being told to send their children to a Redditch school where they have no influence."
