MASKED armed robbers raided a drive-thru restaurant in Oakenshaw at about 10.30pm last Wednesday.
Two men armed with blunt instruments entered McDonalds, Coldfield Drive, and demanded staff hand money over.
Police said one man came in through the side of the restaurant and the other came through the front entrance.
No-one was hurt but staff were left badly shaken by the ordeal.
The raiders escaped in an H-registered green and grey Rover 216, which was abandoned with the engine running in nearby Rosehall Close.
Det Sgt Mark Glazzard, of Redditch police, said: "We know there were some customers in the drive-thru part of the restaurant at the time of the incident and ask them to contact us as they may have information."
He added: "It's probable these offenders got into another vehicle and escaped.
"We're appealing for anyone in that area who saw anything suspicious between 10.30-11pm to contact CID or Redditch police on 584888."
