AN air ambulance was called to a Redditch industrial estate after a man became trapped in a piece of machinery.
The incident happened shortly after 9am yesterday at Slater Yendal on Howard Road, Park Farm Industrial Estate.
Redditch police were also called to the scene and Health and Safety Executive officers were asked to attend.
The man, in his 20s, was taken to the Alexandra Hospital by a road ambulance and the air ambulance was not used.
An ambulance service spokesman said: "The man had minor injuries to his arm but more injuries to his neck, back and ribs.
"It was mainly his clothing which pulled him into the machine.
"He was released by one of his colleagues, who stepped in to pull him out."
The spokesman added: The situation could have been a lot worse - he was saved from a great deal of injury by his colleague."
A police spokesman said: "In these matters we attend and preserve the scene until the Health and Safety Executive arrives to carry out a full investigation into the cause of the incident.
"If the Health and Safety Executive feels the law has been broken then it will be passed on to police to investigate."
