A CHARITY fair in aid of Leprosy Village will be held at Colwall Village Hall tomorrow (Saturday) from 10am until 4pm.
The Children's Society raised the magnificent sum of £390 in collection boxes in Colwall. This helps the society to continue their work with children and young people in need.
From November 1 the Colwall office of John Goodwins will host a satellite of the Ledbury Volunteer Bureau which is based at Salter's Yard, Bye Street, Ledbury. The aim of the satellite is to match potential volunteers, who live locally, to the charities and groups that need help in the village and surrounding area.
For both volunteers and groups further assistance is always available from the Ledbury Development Officer, Rosemary, Tel: 01531 635339 Mon-Thurs 10am-4pm.
David Fox will be visiting the Maggs Centre for the homeless at the end of the month. Items requested are socks, scarves, woolly hats (in fairly sober colours), old blankets and sleeping bags, disposable razors. If anyone has any of these items, please leave them at the back of St James' Church or take them to 1 Railway Terrace.
Colwall Services and Care Scheme is there to offer help and support to anyone who is caring for someone else. The service is free and confidential, please ring Pat White on 540482.
Tickets for the Millennium Room fundraising auction of goods & promises on Saturday, November 17 can be obtained from John Goodwin estate agents and the library or from Carolyn Houlbrooke 540437, Marion Percy 540484 and Beccy Wileman 541069.
A prize bingo will be held at Colwall Village Hall on Saturday, November 24 at 7.30pm. Refreshments will be available. This is a fundraising event in aid of Colwall Players.
The annual village quiz will be held in the Village Hall on Friday, November 16 at 7.30pm. A bar will be available. To register your team of up to four players please contact John and Pauline Veale on 540252. This is aid of St James, Aston.
