MALVERN hockey star Laura Macfarlane has been selected for trials with the England Under 18 squad in December and January next year even though she is still only 16 years old.
Recently The Chase pupil Laura, of Highfield Road, played in the Regional Championships at Milton Keynes for the Midlands U17/U18 squad and helped the team to the gold medal being the top goal scorer in the competition.
She also plays for Colwall Ladies in the West Clubs Womens League Premier League Division One and her school, which recently won the County Schools Tournament and are now through to the Midlands tournament due to be played in early December.
