A 200-year-old farmhouse in Hanley Castle is to be restored if an application for planning permission and listed building consent submitted this week is granted.
Applicants Mr and Mrs J Webb want to rebuild an existing porch and cellar doorways and make internal alterations to add a new bathroom.
More urgent work is already being carried out on the roof, which was sagging after the beams holding it up split.
"The wooden beams were not really up to the job when the building was built," explained Mr Webb, whose family has owned the farm since 1916.
Malvern Hills District Council's planning department will look at the application in due course.
