ON Saturday evening I watched the fireworks from a window inside my building and enjoyed the colourful displays but felt the fireworks were getting louder. One kind was so loud that the noise could be felt within you and hurt your ears. This kind of noise might be acceptable on a battlefield but should not happen in a firework display.
Many of the displays were I expect well organised and charities benefited but why cannot all the organisers get together and have one evening, not four evenings, and have a grand combined display with much noise, bangs and entertainment that those that attended would never forget and the others could have three extra quiet nights.
