MALVERN Town returned to winning ways with a comfortable 3-0 Express and Star Premier Division away win at Dudley on Saturday.
DUDLEY TOWN 0, MALVERN TOWN 3
Although their hosts sat at the bottom of the table, they had recently been encouraged by a managerial change, a number of new signings and two wins in a week.
Ian Stevenson almost gave Malvern an early lead, when his shot came back off the angle of post and crossbar, but the result was never in doubt once Lee Hooper had put Town in front with a well-taken goal in the 19th minute.
A brilliant Dave Alden save preserved Town's lead in the 27th minute, but two excellent Phil Slade strikes in the 30th and 39th minutes put Malvern in a commanding position by half time.
The second period saw Malvern shut up shop to ensure the three points. Neil Mogford came closest to extending their lead in the 70th minute, but was denied by an excellent save from the home 'keeper.
