REGARDING the appearance of bags containing dog faeces in the bushes of the Worcester and Birmingham canal, does any right-minded person really believe that a dog owner would pick up dog waste to simply fling it into the greenery at the side of the cut?
Wouldn't it be far less trouble to just leave it on the ground?
I would like to offer some real evidence of how these bags find their way into the bushes. I have witnessed school kids enter bins and extricate the contents, arming themselves with messy missiles and running down the towpath, indulging in a 'game' involving throwing these "grenades" at each other.
In August, we dog owners were blasted for walking on Pitchcroft, stopping the grass growing. Now we are accused of flinging faeces. What next?
