BULL Allstars lost their 100 per cent winning Malvern League record after they were held to an exciting 3-3 home draw by Callow End Harriers as the Malvern Football League returned to action last Sunday.
This makes their visit to Kempsey United this Sunday all the more important as they look to overtake their challengers for the league title with Kempsey United still continuing their impressive start to the season after their seventh win in as many games as they swept aside Interthornes at Lower Howsell Road by a margin of 9-0.
In what must be described as an important victory, third placed Club AC 30 who have only lost one game all season defeated a previously tight Talbot Head by 5-2 at The Hill Centre, Upton.
They will obviously have their eye on the leading two now as they are within one point of the leaders.
In the re-arranged Worcestershire FA Sunday Minor Cup round two fixture between Morgan Aero 8 and St Johns Tigers from the Kidderminster League, Morgan Aero 8 will be rueing their missed chances with several going begging as they were defeated by the odd goal in three.
In the HFA Sunday Cup, two out of the three sides remain in the competition with Brewery the pick of the winners after their journey to Monmouth saw them return after with a 6-1 victory under their belts after their win over Trefynwy Reserves.
Bell Inn 98 fought out a 3-3 draw at home versus Richards Castle, however after 90 minutes the game was forced to be abandoned following an injury to one of the visiting players requiring emergency assistance.
Fromes Hill however bowed out of the competition and their unlucky season continued having dominated for periods of the game only for their opponents Allstars to fire home their four chances to win through 4-1.
In the Under 18s Youth Division, sponsored by the Soccer Site at www.thesoccersite.co.uk, Warndon Youth almost caused the upset of the day after their brave efforts almost toppled Campden Town. However they couldn't stop Campden from becoming eventual winners by three goals to two.
Malvern Town's visit to Libbery Wanderers went as per the form book after they came away with a 6-1 victory and Tupsley Pegasus Juniors remain in second position after their 2-0 win over Welland.
More external cup action this Sunday as three Malvern Football League sides compete in Round Two of the Worcester Royal Infirmary Minor Cup with Brewery at home to AK81, Old Bush Willie Thornes hosting Herefordshire Bulls and Club AC 30 also at home to Libbertys United.
In League action it's first versus second in both Divisions with Kempsey United hosts to Bull Allstars and in the Under 18s Youth Division Malvern Town versus Tupsley Pegasus Juniors this Sunday.
