PROLIFIC striker Dave Jenkinson grabbed four goals as Red Lion Falcons progressed through to round three of the Nursing Minor Cup in emphatic style on Bringsty Common last Sunday.

BRINGSTY SPORTS 3, RED LION FALCONS 7

Jenkinson has waited patiently for his first hat-trick in Red Lion colours, netting twice many times but this haul was built around some superb approach work, notably by Rich Lambert and John Rose.

After a poor start to the campaign the Falcons were eager to follow up the 1-0 win over Forest Falcons the previous week.

With new first team manager John Fenwick firmly installed as the lynchpin of the defence, the Falcons breathed a new air of optimism.

Jenkinson started his personal rout with a deft finish from Rose's through ball in the 10th minute, five minutes later he doubled the tally after good work from Lambert before the latter added a third from a deep cross from Sean Egan.

Bringsty pulled one back but before the break Rich Bryan netted the fourth with a superb volley.

Jenkinson wrapped up his hat-trick on 54 minutes racing through on to Monty Hale's through ball.

Jenkinson's one man show was being challenged by eventual man of the match Lambert, and it was Lambert himself who notched number six when Bryan's low cross was smashed home at the far post.

Jenkinson made it 7-1 on 78 minutes before two late lapses allowed Bringsty some respectability.

This Sunday the Falcons entertain Pillar of Salt in Division Four. Meet 9.30am at the Chase - squad photos to be taken before kick off.
