TWO schoolboys had a close shave - literally - when their form teacher shaved their hair for charity.
Fund-razors Ross Evans, and Tim Tranter, pupils at Queen Elizabeth High School, Bromyard, had their hair cut by teacher Mair Pennington.
The two 15-year-olds raised £180 for Lupus UK.
"Lupus is an incurable disease when the immune system gets confused and attacks its own body," said Ann Davies the school's secretary.
"The reason they did it for Lupus is because one of the girls in their year has it."
The idea to raise money for charity came about when Gaynor McClarey, head of Year 11, set pupils a charity challenge and other youngsters at the school have been doing their bit for fund-raising too.
"On Tuesday, the first form pupils threw sponges at teachers," added Miss Davies.
"They did this to raise money for Kidney Research.
"Some of the other activities include cycling for as long as possible, and another pupil Daniel Jones, will be sitting in a bath having porridge poured over him."
