THREE men have been convicted of aggravated burglary after a woman was battered with a baseball bat in her own home.
Mother-of-two Charlotte Dyer suffered a broken arm in the attack which followed a row with her estranged boyfriend Robert Dickson, Worcester Crown Court was told.
Dickson and brothers Martin and Kevin Butt, all from Bromsgrove, kicked the door of her house down in the town's Flavel Road, as she was climbing out of a bath.
While Dickson punched her, Martin Butt wielded the bat. His brother kept a lookout.
Miss Dyer told the jury she was also subjected to violence by Dickson and Martin Butt in the Sugarbrook pub, near her home.
Nicolas Cartwright, prosecuting, said Dickson offered her £1,000 not to give evidence against him, but she rejected the payoff.
The trio were convicted of the house raid and causing Miss Dyer grievous bodily harm.
Dickson, aged 27, of Lyttelton Avenue, and 33-year-old Martin Butt were also found guilty of common assault in the pub.
Dickson was further convicted of perverting the course of justice.
All three had denied the offences.
Judge Michael Mott remanded all of them in custody and said they would be sentenced next month after reports had been prepared.
The prosecution claimed resentment simmered after Dickson, the father of Miss Dyer's children, found out that she had entertained other people at her home on a weekend the children were staying with her.
At the time, solicitors were trying to reach agreement over shared access to the children, aged four and six.
Dickson failed to pick them up after the weekend break and she found him drinking with the brothers in the pub.
Miss Dyer said she was subjected to two attacks by Dickson and Martin Butt on the same day in September last year. Kevin Butt, 27, of Edwin Crescent, stayed by the door during the bat beating.
A harrowing tape of Miss Dyer's screams was played to the jury. Her neighbours captured the terror after installing council recording equipment to monitor noise.
The trio insisted they never went to Miss Dyer's home. They claimed she had a grudge against other men - but took revenge on them instead after getting angry over the children.
