KIND-HEARTED Droitwich youngsters were in the festive spirit this week when they handed in the Christmas boxes they put together for needy children in Eastern Europe.
More than 200 pupils from St Peter's First School took part in Operation Christmas Child by putting gifts in shoeboxes which will be sent to countries such as Bulgaria and Romania.
The presents in the boxes include toys, pens and paper, games and woolly hats and gloves.
School headteacher Jessica Robinson said: "The children have done really well.
"It is a lovely charity for them to be involved with.
"It allows them to share some of their joy and privileges with children who aren't so fortunate."
The boxes will soon be collected by people from Samaritan's Purse and taken abroad.
